Dr. Doganata has been conducting research, initiating, developing and delivering projects in broad research areas of computer science for more than 30 years. Prior to joining Accrete.AI, Dr. Doganata has worked as a Research scientist and as a Solutions Technical lead at IBM T. J. Watson Research and IBM Watson Health. His responsibilities included planning, architecting, delivering complex, technology-based, innovative data driven solutions and prototypes using data analytics, information management techniques, NLP, machine learning, predictive modeling and cognitive technologies. His current focus is to extract insight from structured and unstructured data using artificial intelligence to make timely and accurate decisions in financial domain.
As the Chief Technical Officer at Accrete.AI, Dr. Doganata monitors and assesses new technologies as well as existing technology choices, aligns technology-based projects with the company strategy, drives innovative solutions for future offerings, improves existing offerings. He also acts as the Chief Innovation Officer to develop and foster innovation culture, manage the innovation process, identify and protect Accrete.AI’s intellectual property.
Dr. Doganata received his Ph.D. degree from the California Institute of Technology, Pasadena, California, B.S. and M.S. degrees from the Middle East Technical University, Ankara, Turkey, all in electrical/electronics engineering. He has 48 patents, more than 40 peer-reviewed publications in scientific journals and conferences and a number of innovation and excellence awards. He is the recipient of IBM Eminence and Excellence Award in 2014 for his contribution to build an innovation center for a bank in Spain.
Dr. Agarwal is the Director of AI Research at Accrete. His past work used data-driven tools inspired by non-equilibrium Statistical Physics to analyze, model and understand Nonlinear Dynamics and Stochastic Processes. He worked on examining the dynamics and predictability of Arctic sea ice extent from satellite observations, which in turn affects the lives of all living beings through its impact on global climate. This study encompassed combining the concepts of Multifractals, Noise and Chaos to understand the variability of sea ice extent on multiple time scales. In an extension of this, he developed a stochastic model that explains the statistical structure of the very complex and non-linear behavior of Arctic sea ice velocity fields.
Dr. Agarwal received a PhD in Applied Mathematics from Yale University and a Bachelor of Technology from the Indian Institute of Technology.
Dr. Pant is an AI Scientist at Accrete. His experience involves developing high-fidelity physics-based and data-driven models to study the complicated non-linear interaction between turbulence, chemical kinetics, acoustics and molecular diffusion which is typically observed in aircraft engines, rocket engines, and scramjets. He developed a generalized compressible turbulent combustion solver which uses a stochastic model, the transported probability density function (PDF) method, to study turbulent reacting flows ranging from low-speed subsonic flows to high-speed supersonic flow problems. He used this solver to develop a deep understanding of the effect of transient flame dynamics on thermo-acoustic instability in a rocket engine. He also worked on developing data-driven modeling approaches to study thermo-acoustic instability.
Dr. Pant received a Ph.D. in Aeronautics and Astronautics Engineering from Purdue University, a Masters degree in Mechanical Engineering from Purdue University and a Bachelor of Technology degree in Mechanical Engineering from Visvesvaraya National Institute of Technology, Nagpur, India.
Dr. Kim is a Senior AI Scientist at Accrete. He previously worked at Amazon, optimizing its Natural Language Processing approach for unstructured data insight from product reviews. In addition, while at Amazon, Dr. Kim developed automatic summarization algorithms that aggregated sentiment towards any choice of product features, by using word-embedding and deep learning models. Dr. Kim's Applied Mathematics Ph.D dissertation embodies his work of creating simulations of biological neural networks and developing mathematical reduction models to explain and emulate the numerical solutions that represent biological neural network activity. Dr. Kim used numerical methods to solve Hodgkin-Huxley PDE’s in second-order accuracy, combined with the cable equation and a synapse model to replicate the signal transmission inside and between neurons. His study revealed the effect of negative feedback on the network, which linearizes its input-output relation.
Dr. Kim received a Ph.D. in Applied Mathematics from the Courant Institute of Mathematical Sciences (at New York University), a Master’s degree in Mathematics from the University of Michigan (Ann Arbor) and a Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics from Seoul National University, Seoul, South Korea.
As an AI Scientist, Daniel works on research and development of cutting-edge, AI-driven investment technologies. Prior to Accrete.AI, Daniel worked as a Software Engineer at Teradata, where he tested and developed machine learning functions on a massively parallel processing architecture. He believes there is great value in the application of bias-reducing machine learning techniques to the development of effective technologies for modern, data-driven capital markets.
Daniel graduated from Princeton University in 2015 with a B.S.E in Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering. During his undergraduate career, he worked on a variety of cross-cutting projects in the robotics, fluid-dynamics, and thermodynamics fields. He is also an accomplished guitarist, and an avid snowboarder.
Adam leads our Knowledge team that works with our analyst, AI research, engineering and development teams to create semantically rich domain-specific training data for proprietary mathematical learning models. The Knowledge team also provides feedback to these models and helps establish learning curves and accuracy measurements. Adam is a graduate of Hamilton College and Columbia University.
Jonathan is an experienced fundamental investor with over 15 years of research experience in the hedge fund industry. Jonathan brings with him experience investing in public securities across a broad range of sectors as well as entrepreneurial experience from launching and managing a start-up long/short equity hedge fund. Prior to joining the firm, Jonathan worked at Carlson Capital as a Senior Analyst covering the industrials sector. Prior to Carlson, Jonathan had worked at several multi-billion dollar hedge funds, most recently as a Senior Analyst at Millennium Management and as a Senior Analyst at Clovis Capital. Jonathan also spent five years at JH Investments, a start-up fund that he founded. Jonathan holds a degree in economics and physics from the University of Pennsylvania.
Lucy is a veteran research analyst with over 10 years of sell-side equity research experience focusing on aerospace & defense and multi-industry sectors. Prior to joining Accrete, Lucy worked at Cowen & Company as a lead analyst covering publicly-traded government IT firms. Institutional Investor voted Lucy as an All-American Rising Star. She started her research career at Bear Stearns and AllianceBernstein. Lucy is a Chartered Financial Analyst and holds a Bachelor of Arts from Ohio Wesleyan University.
As a Senior Analyst at Accrete, Vivek works closely with the latest AI technology; and involves himself with research for complex financial and economic topics; validates output and suggests improvements to machine learning models.
Vivek has over four years of experience in the financial services industry. He started his career back in 2011 with Eclerx Services Ltd., wherein he worked towards developing robust financial analytical models. Post that, he has spent nearly three years at Crisil, as a Senior Research Analyst, where he was primarily responsible for providing business intelligence to investment banks from revenue and market size perspective.
Prior to joining Accrete, he was pursuing his passion in stock trading and managing multiple investment portfolios. He holds a Master’s degree in Finance from K.J. Somaiya Institute of Management Studies & Research.
As an Industry Research Analyst, Jason works closely with Industry Research team to generate training data and validation results for Accrete's proprietary models focusing on East Asia, mainly Chinese markets.
Jason holds a B.S. in Business & Finance from NYU Shanghai and an M.S in Quantitative Finance from Fordham University. Prior to joining Accrete in late 2019, Jason interned at two Chinese hedge funds as a quantitative researcher.
Andrés is a trading veteran with 15 years of experience as an active investor across the capital structure. His experience as both a discretionary and quantitative trader gives him a keen understanding of how markets move and where opportunities for cognitive products are greatest. He designed and developed five fully automated black-box trading systems and co-founded Titus Securities which was subsequently acquired by T3 Trading Group in 2011.
Andrés is also a graduate of the Wharton School with a degree in economics, entrepreneurship, information systems, and marketing.
As the Head of Business Development, Alex leads initiatives to grow the business, develop new partnerships and build the presence of Accrete. As a strategy and analytics consultant and API Economy researcher at IBM, he gained his background in Fintech and helped enable startups to compete with enterprise companies. Alex also has degrees in Psychology and Markets & Management from Duke University, where he merged his experience together to search for cognitive biases in markets as well as in life.
Deesha is a Senior Product Designer with experience working in UI/UX across product, marketing and branding.
Prior to joining Accrete, Deesha led the Design team as the Creative Director at King Children in New York and also helped lead human computer interaction at Verisk Analytics as the Senior Art Director. With experience driving UI/UX in B2B, Direct to Consumer and Data Analytics, Deesha is passionate about human-centered design and enjoys introducing new creative thinking processes to complex systems.
Deesha holds a B.F.A in Industrial design from the Rhode Island School of Design (RISD). Prior to Accrete she worked in the B2B and Direct to Consumer Space.
As Director of Accrete’s R&D in India, Rahul brings an extensive background in data analytics and quantitative trading, rich technical management experience and nearly two decades of programming experience. He works closely with our director of AI Research team on the implementation of various deep learning and machine learning models.
Prior to his time at Accrete, Rahul spent nearly a decade working closely with our CEO, Prashant Bhuyan, in previous fin tech endeavors. Rahul also spent 3 years at Infosys Technologies Limited as a software engineer in its research department (SETLabs) where he worked on a patent-pending EII tool. He holds a Bachelor of Engineering in Computer Science from Rajiv Gandhi Institute of Technology and has been very passionate about markets and investing since a young age.
As Accrete's Senior Product Engineer, Shobit Kohli brings with him two decades of coding experience developing in both front-end and back-end technologies. He works closely with the Research and Design team while leading the development of products and managing the delivery of high traffic web applications. Prior to his time at Accrete, Shobit worked for 4 years in Tata Consultancy Services, 1 year with Ness Technologies, and 4 years with eClerx Services.
Kiran is a full-stack developer, currently leading development and implementation on a variety of our product suites. With a Masters degree in Computer Science from Mumbai University and more than two decades of programming experience, he has a comprehensive understanding of the Fintech domain. Kiran is also proficient in multiple programming languages (Java, C++, .NET, etc).
Abhishek Kumar is a highly motivated full stack engineer with over a decade of successful contribution in architecture, design, and implementation of products in varied domains. He also actively participates in developing the future roadmap for the products based on the requirements. He has the ability to understand complex requirements and break them down into simple implementable tasks. He also mentors other developers and is the go-to person for troubleshooting development issues.
Abhishek specializes in software development using Java technologies has good exposure to Angular and other frontend frameworks. He is certified from CDAC (formerly NCST) Mumbai. He also holds a Master in Computer Application (MCA) degree from IGNOU, New Delhi.
Arjun is currently working on developing the user interfaces of each of our product suites and helps bring our products to life. He is proficient in HTML5, Bootstrap, CSS, Node.js, AngularJS, and many more. Arjun also holds a Computer Science degree from Rajasthan University and possesses a decade of programming experience.
Rohit brings a decade of backend development experience to our Accrete team. He has deep knowledge of Core Java and assists Kiran, our lead developer, and Rahul Jindal, Head of Research and Analytics, in advancing the product development life cycle. Rohit also holds a Computer Science degree from Rajasthan University.
Yash holds a diploma in Computer Science Engineering from Shri Bhagubhai Mafatlal Polytechnic and a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering from K. J. College of Engineering.
I have a degree in Computer Science from Magadh University and a Master’s degree for the same from Sikkim, (Manipal University). Prior to Accrete, I have worked closely with Zeus learning, Financial Technologies, and Aries Tech Labs.
Rupali started her career working on one of the best programming languages for web applications. She has worked as a software developer for developing web and mobile applications in a variety of different sectors such as education, e-commerce, online billing systems, properties, lead management system, etc.
With time and exploration of data science being done currently all over the world, she developed the respective skills so that vast volumes can be analyzed at a faster rate and can provide accurate results and analysis.
She holds a Master’s degree in Information Technology from Khalsa College.
Micah Boster is Head of Partnerships at Accrete. Prior to joining, he was COO at Kaptyn, helping to transform the legacy taxi industry and enabling it to remain relevant in a rapidly changing transportation environment. Earlier, he spent eight years at Google in the Washington DC, New York, and San Francisco offices. While there, he was an early member of the Federal Enterprise Sales team, building deep relationships between Google and both civilian and military leadership across the Federal Government. Later, he managed a global book of Google's top advertising partnerships, growing and managing complex deal structures across sectors and regions. Having extensive experience in the SaaS, AdTech, geospatial, real estate, transportation, energy, and data security spaces, he is focused on helping partners leverage the latest technology to discover new solutions to old problems.
Micah holds an MBA from INSEAD and a BS in Symbolic Systems from Stanford University. He currently lives in Mamaroneck, NY with his wife and daughter. In his spare time, he enjoys table tennis, cooking, playing the drums, and scuba diving.
Mayank is a hedge fund veteran and brings two decades of practical experience running organizations to our team. As a former fund manager, he recognized the accelerating need for market participants to adapt traditional methods for extracting alpha to the exponential growth in unstructured data. His desire to help facilitate that change led him to co-found Accrete.
Prior to Accrete, Mayank’s experience includes launching a successful hedge fund focused on global convertible arbitrage, co-managing a convertible bond sales and trading desk for a broker-dealer, building and co-managing an Asia-focused capital markets business and managing large arbitrage portfolios for three hedge funds. Mayank began his career at GE Capital where he gained significant financial and operating experience across multiple business lines. Mayank also holds a Bachelor of Science from the University of Connecticut and an MBA from New York University.
Prashant’s mission is to revolutionize work by building technologies that scale tacit knowledge and boost productivity. Prior to starting Accrete, Prashant spent a decade in high-frequency trading, consistently producing alpha by finding arbitrages in the market microstructure. Prashant eventually recognized that the digital explosion had been creating new types of information processing and reasoning inefficiencies. As a result, Prashant shifted focus to teaching machines how to read, understand, and learn to extract alpha from language.
Initially, Prashant applied static natural language processing to weigh early market-on-close imbalance indications collected through voice recognition from the NYSE floor by sentiment in social chatter, thus generating significant alpha. However, Prashant soon realized that static approaches were insufficient in capturing the full predictive value of dynamic data. The challenge with static approaches is that they require humans to reduce tacit knowledge into explicit rules. Since it’s impossible to convey complex intuition via explicit rules to a machine, performance decays as context evolves thus requiring inordinate human effort to continuously retrain models.
Accordingly, Prashant spent years experimenting with various approaches to build dynamically learning models that become both increasingly autonomous and accurate in order to solve real-world problems. At Accrete, Prashant leads a world-class team working to create latent mathematical representations of tacit knowledge to seed models that continuously recalibrate neural architectures on the fly with minimal human interaction, resolving issues related to catastrophic forgetting. Accrete’s technologies are helping hedge funds predict market-moving M&A rumors; music labels identify commercially viable artists; and the Department of Defense surface anomalous narratives.
Prashant has won an IBM Beacon Award for Best New Application by an Entrepreneur and has been recognized as an IBM Wild Duck. He has been invited to present his work at several conferences around the world including various JP Morgan and IBM conferences and has been interviewed on Nasdaq, CNBC, Cheddar, and Silicon Angle's the Cube. Prashant’s innovations have also been featured in IBM TV commercials that aired during the Masters and the Super Bowl showcasing quantifiable results. Prashant is a graduate of Hamilton College and lives in Lower Manhattan with his wife and two small children.
Bill Wall is the CEO and co-founder of Accrete AI Government, bringing commercial and Wall Street proven AI solutions to the US Government. Bill has a unique background combining elite military service and deep experience in the sale and implementation of innovative solutions that drive business transformation.
Bill has eleven years’ experience building successful teams in the IT industry. Previously, he was the Director of Digital Transformation and Chief Information Officer for Barrick Gold in Argentina for two years. Before joining Barrick, he was a business development executive, operations and sales executive in the Washington DC area serving the US Government market. Bill has worked in both Fortune 500 and startup companies. His experience spans IT hardware, software, big data analytics services, geospatial software, and IT solutions reseller companies. Prior companies include EMC, Praescient Analytics, Boundless Geospatial and Flywheel Data.
Before entering the corporate world, Bill retired from the Army as a Special Forces Lieutenant Colonel after twenty-two years in service. He was the founder and first commander of a unique computer network operations organization in the Joint Special Operations Command (JSOC). He had multiple deployments to Afghanistan, Iraq and Yemen working closely with the national intelligence community to transform the way JSOC developed and shared intelligence. During his career, he also deployed many times throughout Central and South America.
Bill has a Bachelor of Science in Foreign Service from Georgetown University’s School of Foreign Service, and a Master of Arts in International Relations / Latin American Studies from the University of Miami.
